FIELD: welding processes and equipment, namely butt welding of rails.
SUBSTANCE: machine includes frame to which strut and stationary housing are secured, guides mounted in sleeves of stationary housing and of strut, movable housing, inlet and outlet lifting rollers, two welding transformers, two hydraulic cylinders for upsetting mounted in strut, clamping hydraulic cylinders, slides arranged in stationary and movable housings and joined with rods of clamping hydraulic cylinders, electric current supply leads, electrodes and bearing units. Inner housing made with possibility of motion from drive mechanism is mounted in guides of stationary housing. Movable housing is secured to guides mounted in sleeves of stationary housing and of strut. Inner housing has rectangular guides mounted in guides of stationary housing for providing possibility of motion of inner housing in horizontal and vertical planes. Movable housing includes trapezoidal guides; stationary housing includes trapezoidal guides and regulated wedge insert. Slides are mounted in stationary and movable housings on trapezoidal guides; two trapezoidal guides are made movable in order to compensate their wear degree.
EFFECT: simplified design, improved efficiency, increased useful time period of machine, enhanced accuracy for centering welded rails.
