FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrocarbon composition exhibiting improved lubricating properties as compared to its initial constituents, which can be used as fuel, especially diesel engine fuel and, in addition, preserves high cetane number and reduced amount of aromatics. Objective of invention is preparing composition usable as fuel in diesel engines and exhibiting improved lubricating properties. Objective is achieved by providing composition designed for use as fuel in diesel and gas-turbine engines wherein at least 80 wt % of the composition has boiling range between 150 and 380°C and which is composed of: (A) 80 to 99 wt % oil refinery hydrocarbon blend having boiling range between 200 and 380°C and (B) 1 to 20 wt % paraffin hydrocarbon blend with boiling range between 130 and 380°C, which is essentially free of oxygen-containing organic compounds and is obtained in a process involving Fischer-Tropsch synthesis step. Invention also concerns use of these compositions and method of improving lubricating properties of motor fuel.
EFFECT: improved lubricating properties of fuel with all high fuel characteristics preserved.
