FIELD: mechanical engineering: diesel engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel equipment of diesel engines. Proposed pumping element of high-pressure fuel contains plunger, plunger barrel, delivery valve body with delivery valve and spring, and union. Pumping element contains additionally compensating hollow washer placed between delivery body and union. Fuel pressure is transmitted into inner toroidal space of compensating washer through hole in compensating hollow washer. This pressure causes deformation of end face surfaces of compensating hollow washer, thus increasing contact forces in end face seals.
EFFECT: improved reliability and increased service life of precision parts of diesel engine high-pressure fuel pump.
