FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine production, particularly to diesel engine fuel components. High-pressure fuel pump consists of the housing accommodating camshaft, push rod, casing of section that houses plunger pair and high-pressure union, high- and low-pressure system valves, and fuel electromagnetic proportioner. Low-pressure (intake) valve is mounted on the casing lateral side of the section that doubles as the plunger barrel. High-pressure valve is located at the plunger barrel top part, aligned with the plunger. High-pressure valve seat is made directly in the plunger barrel. Note here that diametre of intake and discharge valves does not exceed that of the plunger.
EFFECT: simpler design of intake valve and pump servicing.
