FIELD: sealing engineering.

SUBSTANCE: seal comprises sealing rings pressed to the surfaces to be sealed. The race is made of metallic or metallic ceramic or ceramic material. The sealing rings are split, made of the material of the race, and pressed to the shaft surfaces to be sealed by means of a bushing made of a flexible elastomeric material and interposed between the race and outer surface of the sealing rings. The same bushing made of a flexible elastomeric material is interposed between the part to be sealed, plunger or rod, and inner surface of the sealing split rings to press the ring to the race.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
