FIELD: invention is defined for control over abrasive discs used for preparation of working rollers applied in production of sheet metal.

SUBSTANCE: ultrasound system of control has testing stand fulfilled with possibility of support with possibility of rotation of abrasive disc. Ultrasound transmitting and receiving arrangement passes sound waves through body of abrasive disc. Decay of amplitude of sound waves passing through abrasive disc is registered in recording device and analysis is made in computer. Recording device for example computer preferably registers decay of amplitude of sound waves. Computer analyses amplitude decay, registers decay of amplitude as profile of indicative densities and reflects profile of indicative densities on screen of computer for visual control. Profile of indicative densities of checking abrasive disc may be compared with profiles of indicative densities of other abrasive discs particularly with those whose working characteristics are known.

EFFECT: possibility of definition of quality of abrasive discs before they may be used for preparation of working rollers and also increase of quality of their manufacturing.
