FIELD: electrochemical methods for applying thin-film coatings, possibly at making catalysts, sorbents, particularly those used in high-temperature processes, semiconductor devices, sensors, protection coatings.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of electrochemical working of parts of titanium or its alloy in aqueous electrolyte containing 20 - 50 g/l of zirconium sulfate Zr(SO4)2·4H2O in galvano-static mode at effective density of electric current 5 - 30 A/dm and voltage 80 -180 V during 5 - 30 min.
EFFECT: improved protection properties of coatings due to their density, lowered porosity, decreased degree of wetting by water, improved ecological safety of process, its reduced influence upon human health, lowered energy consumption.
