FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: potassium hexafluorozirconate is dissolved in water at temperature from 80 °С to the solution boiling point. To continuously stirred hot solution, salting-out agent is added. Saturated alcohols are used as salting-out agent. Resulting suspension is cooled, solution is decanted, and residue is dried. By varying volumetric ratio V_{salting-outagent}: V_{water in Solution} from (0.05:1) to (0.5:1) and initial concentration of potassium hexafluorozirconate from 8 g per 100 g of water to saturated solution, one can obtain potassium hexafluorozirconate powder of required grain size distribution.

EFFECT: invention provides for production of the finest particles.
