FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: test bench consists of two supports to assemble wheels of tested vehicle axis onto them and of support drive made as an actuating cylinder. The supports are made as a longitudinally movable bench with a horizontal contact surface. Drive of both supports consists of pneumatic actuating cylinder, lower frame and upper frame. The lower frame is assembled on guides and is allowed to move lengthwise from the actuating cylinder. The upper frame is installed and allowed to move vertically against the lower frame, it is connected to each bench with a joint of a longitudinal rotation axis. Between the supports of the bench there is a pit on both side walls of which the guides of the lower frame are secured. A case of the actuating cylinder is assembled on the lower frame and is located in the pit. A rod of the actuating cylinder is made double-sided and secured by its both ends to the face walls of the pit.

EFFECT: eliminating of errors and increasing reliability of testing of automobile braking characteristics.
