METHOD OF ITEM SURGACE CLEANING AND POLISHING (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC C23G5/00

Abstract RU 2324769 C2

FIELD: technological processes, plasma technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to plasma technology, provides efficient local processing or processing of large areas of both external and internal hard-to-reach item surfaces. Methods include ignition of multi-channel discharge between processed item and electrolyte, at that process is carried out for at least one minute with at least 10 % of electrolyte saturation with atoms ionization potential Uϕ<6 eV. In first two variants of the method, the processed item is placed directly above electrolyte surface at the distance of not more than 1 mm, discharge is ignited and item is gradually immersed in flowing electrolyte at non-breakdown distance from metal plate located at the bottom of electrolytic cell, at that voltage of 10≤U≤650 V range and discharge current of 0.025≤I≤200 A are created between electrodes at temperature of 40<Te<60°C, which is provided by creating of electrolyte circulation and additional cooling of processed item. In the first variant of method, anode is the processed item, and electrolyte is a cathode. In second variant of method, cathode is the processed item, and electrolyte is anode. In third and fourth variants of method, jet anode is used as electrolyte, and the item, which is placed under the jet, is affected by negative potential, voltage of 200≤U≤650 V and discharge current of 0.015≤I≤10000 mA are created between electrodes at electrolyte flow of 2≤G≤16·106 m3/s. In third variant of method, jet anode consists of laminar stream with jet length l=8÷100 mm, and in the fourth variant of method, jet anode consists of laminar stream and of crushed non-stationary minor jets with length of l=8÷120 mm, at that diameter of electrolyte anode jet laminar portion is dj≥0.5 mm.

EFFECT: obtaining method of surfaces cleaning and polishing with electrolytic technique.
