SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to propulsion engineering, in particular, to automated heating systems of diesel locomotives during warm idling, as well as to the railway locomotive industry. The diesel locomotives have accumulator batteries, water cooling system for the diesel engine, oil and fuel systems, fuel tanks, and exhaust pipes. The invention supports the given thermal mode of the diesel engine of the locomotive, its fuel injection system and lubrication in the cold season. The system has heaters, water contours which are connected, one to the engine cooling system and the other to the oil and fuel systems of the locomotive, and has a shutoff armature for switching the cooling and heating modes. The heaters are connected to the fuel tank of the locomotive and are equipped with pumps for pumping water into the circulation contours, ventilation system for removing exhaust substances through an exhaust pipe, control sensors for the thermal mode in the cooling system, oil and fuel systems, control sensor for voltage on the accumulator batteries, which are connected through a conversion unit and voltage stabilization, to a dispatcher console. The dispatcher console has manual and automatic heating modes with units for audio and optical signalling on the console and the locomotive, and a radio signal transmitter for regular and emergency operation modes of the heaters and notification of the personnel on the station. The warning lights unit indicates the number of locomotives and operation modes of the heaters.

EFFECT: support of the given thermal mode of a diesel engine of a locomotive, its fuel injection system and lubrication in the cold season.
