FIELD: mechanic.
SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to the mechanic engineering, in particular, to roller bearings. The spherical roller bearing contains an outer ring with a spherical raceway, an inner ring with one or several spherical toroidal raceways and a collar, domed nonsymmetrical rollers, the radius of the edges of which is lower than the radius of the outer ring sphere and the radius of the edge of the inner ring raceway, and a separator holding the rollers. The initial points of contact with the raceway of the inner and outer rings are on the line passing through the centre of the roller length. The distance of the overall diameter plane of the roller relative to its end with the bigger diameter is determined by the relation E=0.5Lw-(R-0.5Dw)sinϕ where Lw is the roller length, Dw is the diameter of the roller in the overall diameter plane, R is radius of the edge of the roller running surface, ϕ is the angle between the roller axis and the tangent line in the initial point of contact of the roller with the raceway of the outer ring. The technical result is providing optimal relation of contact stress distribution between the raceways of the outer and inner rings, and the value of the collar response to the bigger roller end, which results in the optimal relation of the bearing capacity and speed.
EFFECT: increased bearing capacity and speed.
