FIELD: machine engineering, particularly radial-thrust, radial and thrust-radial spherical bearing units. SUBSTANCE: spherical roller bearing unit includes outer race with spherical raceway, inner race with one or more toroidal raceways and supporting bead and non-symmetrical barrel-shaped rollers arranged in retainer between raceways of races and inclined relative to bearing axis. Radius of generatrices of barrel-shaped rollers is less than radius of sphere of outer race and radius of generatrix of raceway of inner race. Position of the most wide diameter of roller relative to its wide end is determined by relation E≥0,5Lr-Rrsinβin, where Lp - roller length, Rp- radius of roller generatrix, βin - angle between roller axis and common tangent line in contact point of roller with raceway of inner race arranged in middle portion of roller. EFFECT: increased useful life of bearing unit due to uniform distribution of contact stresses along raceway of inner race, elimination of stress concentration on edge of raceway near supporting bead. 4 dwg
