DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE TRANSMITTER Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC G01L13/02

Abstract RU 2324912 C1

FIELD: physics, instruments.

SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to differential pressure transmitters intended for the conversion of pressures in hydraulic equipment cavities into electric signals. The differential pressure transmitter consists of enclosure with two working cavities for pressure measurement and two guiding holes, plunger in the guiding holes between the working cavities, two balancing springs at the plunger ends, an induction converter core in the middle part of the plunger, a magnetic permeable sleeve, and induction converter coils at the magnetic permeable sleeve. Balancing springs with the same weaving direction are installed in the working cavities of the two rigidly connected enclosure parts of the transmitter, using centring washers in the conical stops of the plunger ends and adjusting plugs in the ends of each enclosure part. A minimum positive radial clearance is provided between the plunger and the enclosure part holes; the magnetic permeable sleeve between the enclosure parts forms a drain cavity inside the magnetic permeable sleeve, housing the plunger with the induction converter core. The plunger has a deformation chamber at each end side, formed by the thin plunger walls and the conical stop installed in each end hole of the plunger chamber, the first chamber at one plunger end is connected with the first working cavity through a channel in the plunger wall, the second chamber at the other plunger end is connected to the second working cavity of the transmitter enclosure parts through a channel. The deformation chamber wall thickness is selected on the basis of the deformation under the pressure in the working cavity, non-working cavity, so as not to exceed the value of the radial clearance between the plunger and the guiding holes in the transmitter enclosure parts. Each deformation chamber length along the plunger axis exceeds the length of the plunger section in the transmitter enclosure part guiding holes. The technical effect is the decrease in the dead zone, decrease in nonlinearity, increase in the pressure measurement range, provision of differential pressure measurement in two cavities or one cavity.

EFFECT: increase in pressure measurement range.
