FIELD: instruments.

SUBSTANCE: initiator of ignition and detonation of a prepared fuel and air mixture is the plasmachemical generator operation mode change process. The mixture ignition and subsequent detonation provide ignition of the powder charge located in an explosion-proof detonation chamber. The chamber design provides for recording of the powder charge ignition process. The mixture composition and the generator operation mode providing the maximum detonation capacity are determined. The device contains an explosion-proof detonation chamber with viewports. An active fuel and air mixture input assembly with a plasmachemical generator and an assembly providing relief of overpressure created during the mixture detonation are connected to the chamber. The device is equipped with an active fuel and air mixture dosing control unit.

EFFECT: determination of powder charge detonation and ignition conditions.
