METHOD INVESTIGATING CONDITIONS OF PROGRESS OF EXPLOSION WITH INFLAMMATION OF EXPLOSIVE GAS ATMOSPHERE AND FACILITY FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: study of explosive conditions. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of atmosphere in the form of inflammable gas and oxidizer, burning of auxiliary volume of atmosphere, supply of hot products of explosion into cold main volume of atmosphere and registration of process. Hot products of burning are fed by means of assemblage of jets over entire main volume of atmosphere. Thereupon prepared mixture is detonated and obtained results are employed to evaluate detonation potential of atmosphere. Facility for implementation of method has basic chamber, additional chamber with initiator of atmosphere burning, unit intercommunicating spaces of chambers, system for injection of investigated atmosphere into chambers and registering equipment. Facility is fitted with initiator of atmosphere detonation in basic chamber, system synchronizing operation of burning initiator and detonation initiator.
