FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: drive includes hollow internal and external case made of magnetic material. External case is concentric relative to internal case and radially distanced from it. Internal and external permanent magnets adjacent to external surface of internal case and to inner surface of external case and mounted to maintain specified gap between these magnets, solenoid capable to move linearly axially between internal and external permanent magnets, and nonmagnetic moving element one end of which contains mounted solenoid, and capable to move linearly axially between internal and external permanent magnets under electromagnetic repulsive force generated by interaction of magnetic fields of internal and external permanent magnets and current of solenoid. Switch includes drive and insulating actuating rod connected to another end of moving element and linearly moved by moving element to perform closing and releasing.
EFFECT: basic design of electromagnetic circuit breaker.
