METHODS OF PHYSICAL ENDURANCE DEVELOPMENT FOR SWIMMERS DURING TRAINING RACES Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A63B69/12

Abstract RU 2325206 C2

FIELD: sport.

SUBSTANCE: depending on swimming techniques, swimming board is put on either sportsman' s chest or back. Swimmer makes simultaneous paddle movements with his hands either increasing or decreasing frequency of paddle movements. If board is used with length limited by swimmer body, speed and power endurance of muscles may be developed. If board is longer, the technique of hand stroke above water and paddle movements may be improved and shoulder strength endurance may be developed. Load upon muscles is increased to the change of swimming board thickness. Swimming board may have the following length LSB = 0.7-1.2 m, thickness SSB = (0.02-0.25) • N(m), where N = 1,2,3 and width BSB = 0.25-0.3 m. Slots for belts may be made in swimming board to fix the board on swimmer' s neck and waist. Belts can be fastened to swimming board by plastic screw connections. Swimming board may be round in front part and between its surfaces.

EFFECT: development of hand power endurance effectiveness during training races.
