FIELD: metallurgy; welding production.

SUBSTANCE: machine contains a forming device (a crystalliser), guiding rollers for feeding flat billets to the crystalliser, a flat billet gripping mechanism, electrodes, a central rod, which serves as an additional electrode, a frame with a fixed stand and a plate, a load cell, a thermocouple, compressing hydraulic cylinders for developing the welding and forging forces, compressing hydraulic cylinders for moving the working walls of the crystalliser vertically downwards with simultaneous ejection of the obtained hollow billet from it, hydraulic cylinder compression drives designed as stems, a system for fluid supply to the hydraulic cylinders, an automatic hydraulic cylinder control system, guiding brackets, a support, bearings, and compressing hydraulic cylinders for moving the working walls of the crystalliser vertically upwards with slipping relative to the hollow billet. The guiding brackets are mounted in pairs at the two sides of the fixed stand. The bearings are mounted in slots made in the guiding brackets and in slots at the top and bottom of the working walls of the flat billet gripping mechanism. The working walls of the flat billet gripping mechanism are located on guiding brackets and designed so that they can be moved in the horizontal plane. The crystalliser is designed with two vertical working walls installed so that they can be moved reciprocatingly. The central rod is designed with a tapered upper area and a calibrating lower area and installed in slots in the top portions of the working walls of the crystalliser, along their axis.

EFFECT: increased machine reliability; decreased machine dimensions.
