FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to spark-plugs, in particular, to semiconducting ceramic materials, which are used in production of low-voltage high-energy spark-plugs. Method of manufacturing semiconducting ceramic material includes mixing of the following components contained in reservoir: liquid, 30-90 percent by weight of conducting phase based on Z1-xMxCrO3 at 0<X<0.3, where Z stands for element of lanthanides group or mixture of such elements, M stands for calcium, strontium, magnesium, aluminium, titanium, yttrium or mixture out of two or more of these elements, 8-60 percent by weight of insulating phase based on fine-grained or slab alumina or mullite or mixture of two or more of these compounds and 0-10 percent by weight of additives for sintering. Sintering additives are selected out of silicates, oxides and carbonates of alkaline-earth metals, and also barium titanate, oxides of rare earth elements. Then the prepared mixture is ground, dried and sifted, then pressed. Mixture is sintered in order to produce ceramic material with porosity of 25% or less.
EFFECT: produced semiconducting material is resistant to long-term effects of high temperature, pressure and chemical substances.
