FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to technology implying production of industrial carbon in chlorine-methane flame. Method of carbon black production includes methane and chlorine combustion at polar ratio of methane and chlorine within 4.5 to 1.5 at temperature from 600 to 700°C. Reagents are placed into reactor without preliminary displacement and pre-heating. Carbon product is purified from chlorine derivatives by hydrogen, nitrogen or inert gas treatment at temperatures within 600 to 1100°C. Refined product treatment with carbon dioxide or water vapor at temperature 900°C and higher. Invention enables to increase carbon black specific surface to 1000÷3000 m2/g. Method is simple and profit-proved.
EFFECT: increase of carbon black specific surface accompanied with improved economic indicators.
