FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: gas engine valve-actuating gear includes cam and tappet. Cam comprises two rollers of radius R1 and R2 with rigidly mounted axes. There is a gap Δl between rollers. Tapper functional surface has the first area designed as arc or radius R3 = R1 +2 R2+Δl with centre in point (0; 0), which is actually centre of roller of greater diameter, the second area has radius R4, at that R4 > R2 (1.01 R2 ...4 R2) with centre in point lying on straight line connecting centres of two rollers, and angle γ between this straight line and vertical axis Y, passing through centre of greater roller is 40°-120°, the third area is designed as arc of radius R5 with centre lying on axis Y, at that R5 ≥ R3 and the forth area is straight line.
EFFECT: improved engine performance.
