SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to the nuclear energy field, in particular, to mini fuel elements of a nuclear reactor. The first layer of the mini fuel element with six-layer coating is made of low-density pyrocarbon, the second layer is made of high-density isotropic pyrocarbon, the third layer is made of titanium silicon carbide Ti3SiC2, the fourth layer is made of silicon carbide, the fifth layer is made of titanium silicon carbide Ti3SiC2, the sixth layer is made of high-density isotropic pyrocarbon.
EFFECT: increases service life due to decrease in silicon carbide layer damageability during operation.
