SUBSTANCE: coated fuel particle of the nuclear reactor contains the fuel microsphere of the disintegrating material and the multilayer protective coating consisting of the sequential layers of the low-density pyrocarbon, the layer of the high-density isotropic pyrocarbon, the titanium carbide layer, the titanium nitride layer, the zirconium nitride layer with the thickness of 0.01-0.1 of that of the silicon carbide or zirconium carbide layer, the silicon carbide or zirconium carbide layer, the zirconium nitride layer, the titanium nitride or zirconium nitride layer with the thickness of 0.01-0.1 of that of the silicon carbide or zirconium carbide layer, and the outer layer of the high-density isotropic pyrocarbon.
EFFECT: service life (temperature and fuel burn-up fraction) is increased due to increased corrosion resistance of coatings.
