FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular, to the method of thermal processing of compacted soft-magnetic composite materials. A compact consisting of soft-magnetic material of electrically insulated particles and an organic lubricant are subjected to thermal processing in the furnace atmosphere to relieve the stress. The said furnace atmosphere is controlled to ensure a CO content no less than 0.25 percent by volume. Thermal processing shall be stopped with the part temperature approximating to, at least, 400°C.
EFFECT: part subjected to thermal processing features a high frequency stability of initial magnetic permeability and low losses in the core.
