FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to production of ceramic products for radio engineering purposes, and can be used for making ceramic shells for head antenna caps of high-speed anti-aircraft and air-launched missiles. The proposed method of making the antenna cap from a glass-ceramic lithium aluminosilicate mixture involves crushing of glass crystals through a wet-mix process until slurry is obtained, with pH between 7.5 and 9.0, density of 2.10-2.20 g/cm3 and fineness of residue at a 0.063 mm sieve of 4-7%. Preliminary formation in the gypsum moulds of the crude products is arbitrary. The products then undergo repeated processing in the slurry. The product is then moulded and undergoes thermal treatment at 1210-1250°C, with the rate of rising and lowering the temperature not more than 500°C per hour, for a period of 4-8 hours.

EFFECT: improved quality of the antenna cap from a glass-ceramic lithium aluminosilicate mixture.
