FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: inventions are intended for steam turbine packing. Steam gland consists of inlet scroll for steam and pumping scroll for steam, which are mutually spaced along the axis at a distance from each other and which determine areas of high and low pressure. The seal case is located between these areas and consists of pair of brush seals, mutually spaced along the axis at a distance from each other. A celled seal is installed in a gap between the brush seals.
EFFECT: reduction of steam leak between areas of high and low pressure; elimination of possibility of rotor damage due to heating; optimization of seal leakage characteristic.
