FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of quantum physics and may be used during the development of laser systems based on photodissociation generators. The method involves the generation of a converging shock wave with a cylindrical front edge. Inside of the converging shock wave, a diverging shock wave coaxial to the converging shock wave front edge is generated. The electromagnetic radiation pulse has the form of a thin wall cylinder. A transparent area is generated, with a flat input edge and an output edge in the form of a cone coaxial to the obtained electromagnetic radiation pulse in the form of a thin wall cylinder. The latter is passed through the additionally generated area. The laser system includes a photodissociation generator in the form of a chamber with operating medium. In the chamber, the main charge of explosive is located, the charge has the form of a hollow truncated cone with remote control receivers at its larger end. Opposite to the main explosive charge ends, the chamber has two flat transparent windows. The system also contains an additional explosive charge having the form of a hollow cone, a flat viscoelastic transparent membrane, and a pusher with a pusher displacement mechanism connected to a control unit.

EFFECT: increase in power density in electromagnetic radiation delivery area.
