FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shells for aircraft artillery weapons of 30 mm bore. Collar-free small bore artillery shell is provided with standard tapered bourrelet at shell body. Tapered bourrelet is made of polymer material and installed at shell body in centre of mass. It is pressed into circular groove situated in bourrelet. Circular groove's cross-section is in the shape of dovetail. It improves shell centering characteristics when it moves along bore, avoids thermo plastic ware-out, reduces intensity of inner bore ware-out, compensates thermal expansion of bore diameter during automatic shooting and reduces initial disturbance during shell fly-off from bore.

EFFECT: improvement of artillery shell centering characteristics and reduction of bore wear-out.
