FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: omnidirectional radiating antenna includes: at least one conical horn, a feeder and a driver connected to each other. The antenna is characterised by that is also includes a second conical horn, wherein the first and second conical horns face each other by their vertices and form a conical aperture; the driver is in form of a single-wound cylindrical spiral with branch length l<<λ, winding angle α and diameter d which satisfy the condition tan α=πd/2λ, wherein the spiral is placed in the gap between the cones such that the axes of the spiral and the cones coincide, and the spiral start is connected to the centre conductor of the coaxial feeder.
EFFECT: providing an elliptically polarised field in an omnidirectional radiating antenna.
