FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to microbiology and epidemiology and can be applied for bacteriological diagnostics. Method is characterised by the fact that biological properties of streptococcus B and D sampled from clinical material and environment by means of classical nutritional mediums and standard incubation conditions are detected. Growth form is detected based on combined Olkenitzky's three- sugar agar and saline agar at temperature 37°C, on potassium tellurite medium, in glucose broth at temperature 45°C, detection is also performed by decomposition of lactose, saccharose, xylose, mannitol, sorbite and occurrence of arginin decarboxylase. This enables to identify streptococcus B and 16 types of streptococcus D. Invention allows increasing reliability of specific differential diagnostics of streptococcus B and D, reducing diagnostic time up to 3-4 days.
EFFECT: increased reliability of specific differential diagnostics of streptococcus B and D with reduced diagnostic time.
