FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: common carotid artery is longitudinally dissected, forming two half-rounds. Autovein is reversed, making longitudinal section in its proximal part. Length of this longitudinal section is equal to distance between edges of separated half-rounds. Anastomosis is formed between autovein and common carotid artery, and one half-round is applied for formation of initial part of internal carotid artery, and another one - for formation of initial part of external carotid artery. Then they are reimplanted with stumps of internal and external carotid artery.
EFFECT: method widens range of means for carotid bifurcation reconstruction during repeated operations.
