FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: can be applied in eletrotechnics, lighting engineering, as well as conversion equipment for designing of ozonizer power supply and control systems, various gas-discharge lamps, electrostatic cleaners, water disinfection and purification systems, hard material layer and film fabrication and other electrical loads. Supply of electrical load with discharge gap filled with gaseous, liquid and solid substance, compound or substance layer is performed by bipolar current pulses of repetition pulse train with variable amplitude, frequency and off-duty ratio. Electrical load is supplied from power source with current supply property. Bipolar current pulses of repetition pulse train are quasi- rectangle shaped with variable amplitude within the range 0.1÷1.0 of peak amplitude value. Frequency and off-duty of bipolar current pulses of repetition pulse train are controlled individually within the ranges 0.9÷1.1 of nominal and 0.5÷1.0 of peak variable value respectively. Amplitude, frequency and off-duty of bipolar current pulses of repetition pulse train are controlled within process variable function under proportional or proportional-plus-integral mode.

EFFECT: extended application of electrical load supply with discharge gap filled with gaseous, liquid and solid substance, compound or substance layer.
