CONTROLLED CATHETER Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61M25/01

Abstract RU 2329071 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to catheters inserted to cardiac arteries or other vital human organs. Controlled catheter includes tube-shaped casing and tip. In front part of catheter there is supplementary shaft rotator actuated due to flywheel wire rotation. Shaft is fixed in eye bar with mounted tip. Rotator design is worm-and-worm pair. Second variant of controlled catheter design implies provided flywheel wire and rotator performed as screw pair, consisting of screw fixed to wire, and nut fixed within head glass with mounted tip. Screw bearing is mounted in second tube component. Glass and tube rotate relatively eccentrically of located axis. Third version of controlled catheter design provides heater, tip with eye bar with supplementary shaft mounted in eye rings, component of great linear expansion inside of which there is the heater mounted which clasps supplementary shaft, and a detail of smaller linear expansion on one end of which there is supplementary shaft mounted, and on the other - end of component of great linear expansion. In the fourth version of controlled catheter design, its front part contains tip rotator, consisting of ampoule with liquid, glass with ampoule placed, and piston pressed by expanded heated liquid that makes piston to move forward relative to glass with heater and rotates supplementary shaft with eye bar and tip round eccentric axis.

EFFECT: reduction trauma number and extended possibility of catheter application due to bend of catheter with inlet to aorta mouth (vein, duct), located at an angle of 30-90 degrees to basic vessel trunk.
