FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: liquid metal is supplied from a furnace-ladle via a vacuum processed intermediate chamber into a batch bin-heater; then liquid metal is degassed with inert gas blasting and is extruded through at least one heated channel-hole. A metal stream is cooled and fibre is produced at a temperature up to 1000°C, then fibre is further cooled up to a preset temperature and held at that temperature. Further fibre is calibrated in a heated drawing die with following accelerated cooling, then fibre is tempered and cooled to ambient temperature. Cooling, holding and tempering operations are performed in pressure tight chambers in a spiral around fibre flow.
EFFECT: upgraded physics-chemical and mechanical characteristics with reduction of capital costs and prime cost of production.
