SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine construction and can be used in heaters intended for warming up the internal combustion engines at lower temperatures. The invention novelty consists in that the glowing plug intended for diesel fuel heater incorporates a metal body, a current conducting bush an electrode, an insulator bush, a heating helical coil, a ceramic base with lengthwise channels. The said channels can be furnished with a widening part in the lengthwise section directed from the metal body to the ceramic base free, or they can be helical with direction opposite to the coil helix.
EFFECT: glowing plug higher efficiency ensured by ignition of fuel-air mix at lower warming-up temperatures.
