FIELD: stenography.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to digital stenography, particularly to direct, without spectral transformations reversible embedding of random water marks by means of quantisation and modification of amplitude values of a signal under conditions when an original reflection (a container) is not accessible, and a transmitted message is not known at a receiving end - that is a technology of a blind embedding. A method of iterative embedding of random messages (bit planes) into a digital representation by means of successive alterations of brightness of a pixel representation and embedding into representation of each successive bit plane is performed considering modification of the reflection at embedding of previous bit planes; embedding of the first bit plane is carried out by a method of "one-channel embedding"; it contains the stages of iterative division of the brightness scale of a total reflection into successive ranges; at that for each of the ranges obtained at one of the intermediate iterations there are determined not changeable and variable at embedding of the message components of reflection and embedding of a bit message into pixels of a variable component by means of either accepting values of brightness of a reflection pixel as a pixel, containing an embedded message, or a mirror reflection of a value of its brightness against the central value of brightness for the above said range; at that embedding of bit planes is cyclic repeated till the received stego-reflection does not quit changing at embedding of the said bit planes.
EFFECT: upgraded efficiency of messages hiding.
