SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of preprocessing and encoding pixels in a picture. Technical result is achieved by obtaining the original value of the linear brightness component of the above-mentioned pixel in the third colour space, the third colour space containing the linear colour space XYZ, wherein the initial value of the linear luminance component is determined based on the linear colour of said pixel in the first linear colour space, outputting a non-linear luminance component value in a second non-linear colour space for said pixel based on the first non-linear chrominance component value in the above-mentioned second colour space, the second value of the non-linear chromatic component in said second colour space and said initial value of the linear luminance component in said third colour space.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide pixel preprocessing to suppress artifacts.
