FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of quantum electronics and may be used in production of gas lasers that are excited by transverse high-frequency discharge, in production of laser medical equipment and laser technological units. Laser with high-frequency excitation includes source of high-frequency excitation, casing, discharge channel that is formed by potential and grounded high-frequency electrodes, mirrors of optical resonator. Grounded electrode along its whole length is made with dent. Dielectric plate is installed on the dent. Potential electrode is installed on the surface of dielectric plate that is external in respect to dent. Width of potential electrode is less than the width of grounded electrode dent.
EFFECT: increase of laser efficiency with simultaneous simplification of device and technology of its manufacturing.
