FIELD: quantum electronics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to quantum electronics, namely to slit-type gas lasers with high-frequency excitation of the active medium, in particular sealed slit CO2 lasers. A slit-type gas laser contains a high-frequency pumping unit with self-oscillators and a cooled sealed housing filled with an active gas medium. The housing is equipped with a resonator in the form of mirrors at its ends and a discharge gap formed between the planar electrodes. The electrodes are installed inside the housing through heat-conducting electrically insulating ceramic plates and connected via current leads to the specified pumping unit. The housing is made in the form of a box frame with upper and lower covers. The electrodes are fixed on these covers with holders with insulating ceramic elements that rest against the inclined surfaces formed on the sides of the electrodes to form a sliding contact.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce thermal deformations during laser operation.
