FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of microwave equipment and may be used for heating of liquid dielectric mediums samples with energy of electromagnet field, for instance, in microwave chemistry, microwave biology, microwave rheology, etc. Resonating chamber of rectangular shape with height H contains metal rectangular rib that is connected by means of induction rod with 50-Ohm coaxial line. Radius (r1) of internal conductor of coaxial line is half as small as the radius (r2) of induction rod, which is installed at the angle of 90° in the centre of resonator broad wall at the distance q=0.3 042H from the bottom metal wall of resonator. Rectangular shaped specimen radiated with microwave energy (glass cuvette with liquid dielectric) is installed with the help of fluoroplastic holders between metal rib of resonator and its side wall. Mathematic modeling of S-parameters of this microwave unit made it possible to establish that with relative dimensions of chamber: b/a=0.4863; t/a=0.1639; d/b=0.5; R/r1=2.3; r2/r1=0.5; q/H=0.3042, u/a=0.1366, where a - size of resonator broad wall along axis X); b - size of resonator narrow wall along axis Y; t - width of metal rib; d - distance between metal rib and resonator wall (capacitive gap); R - radius of external conductor of coaxial line; u - size of glass cuvette in plane XY - standing wave ratio (SWR)≤3 is provided in the system at variations of specimen dielectric properties: 40≤ε'≤81; 1.2≤ε'≤20.4, where ε' - dielectric constant; ε" - coefficient of losses at frequency of 2.45 Ghz.

EFFECT: simplification, increase of filling factor and reduction of SWR.
