SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a mat, particularly to a door mat or a floor mat in a car. The mat consists of a multitude of layers (1), each containing an absorbing sublayer (10). Each layer (1) also contains an insulating sheet (9) under the absorbing sublayer (10) and net (11) above the absorbing sublayer (10). Layers (1) are tied to each other around all edges of the mat by means of a glue bridge which prevents penetration of dirt and moisture between the layers.
