FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the method of evaporating heavy crude oil and bitumens and can be used in the oil-extraction and oil refining industry. The method involves heating the crude oil with subsequent removal of water. The oil is heated in heat exchangers to 220-250°C at 2.5-4 MPa. The oil is later decanted until separation of phases at 220-250°C and pressure of 2.5-4 MPa. After removal of water, the oil is heated in a tube-type furnace to a temperature not exceeding 350°C.
EFFECT: simplification of processing high viscosity oil due to reduction of instrumentation entities and longer service life of the equipment.
