METHOD OF COMMUTATOR SHRINK RING MANUFACTURE FOR ELECTRIC MACHINE (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC H01R43/06 

Abstract RU 2330361 C1

FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: main insulation and shrink ring casing are pressure tested and thermally treated simultaneously with insulating baffles heating and reforming in assembled commutator. Separating release layer is applied by one-side adhesive polyimide film strip with non-adhesive side being outside. Main insulation acting as separating layer is manufactured from one-side adhesive polyimide film with non-adhesive side being outside. Casing layers from non-impregnated glass strip is oiled with thermo reactive compound and metal ring is applied. Casing is made in the shape of Sintoflex film, where as separating layer is made of Isoflex or Imidoflex strip. Six options of manufacture method are proposed.

EFFECT: simplification, decrease of labour factor and energy consumption, reduction of shrink ring manufacture time, reduction of health hazards during manufacture process, releasing of expensive equipment at simultaneous increase of cost effectiveness.
