FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes application of cooling liquid from several nozzles /rows of nozzles on one side, and on the other side - application of basic oil onto rolled material in front of inter-roller gap, at that nozzles/rows of nozzles may be adjusted separately and independently from each other, cooling medium is supplied on rollers separately from basic oil, and basic oil, without water as medium-carrier, in very small, in respect to commonly consumed, amount is directly applied on rolled material along its full width. Between nozzles/rows of nozzles for application of cooling medium on rollers and rows of nozzles for application of basic oil on rolled material partition is installed. Improvement of conditions of lubrication supply in deformation site is provided at the account of the fact that oil is applied in the amount, in which it is fully deposited in asperities of rolled material surface, at that one system of nozzles for oil supply is directed vertically to the surface of rolled material, and the other one - at sharp angle to inter-roller gap.
EFFECT: invention is intended for exclusion of mill cage vibration and improvement of rolled material quality.
