FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: label application machine incorporates a feed apron mounted to turn around the vertical axis and furnished with a set of bearing supports to keep up separate containers. The machine comprises also drive appliances coupled with the said apron to send the containers along the preset trajectories and with separate thrust supports to turn them about an appropriate vertical axis. The machine incorporates additionally an applicator arranged along the preset transport trajectory and appliances to define the container angular position and to control the said position. The detection and control means incorporate a set of CCD-pickups of images to detect and identify the preset shape on the containers, the said CCD-pickups being rigidly fixed on the feed apron and coupled with an appropriate thrust support of the apron.

EFFECT: device incorporating means of determining angular position of the containers and controlling the position of various types of containers.
