FIELD: mechanics, pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transportation and can be used in construction a pipeline to transport homogeneous liquids and slurries. The rubber-textile pipe sections accommodate cylinder-shaped floats. Every float is made by winding several layers of polymer material on a pipe to ensure a positive buoyancy. All surfaces of the float material layers are either soldered or glued together. The float outer surface has one or several layers of polymer or rubber-textile material with higher density as compared to that of the inner layers, for example, made from polyethylene, polyurethane or rubber-textile material. Low density foamed polyethylene, foamed polyurethane, for example, cavity-type sheet foamed up to 20 mm-thick polyethylene with density varying between 30 and 90 kg/m3 and water absorption not over 5% can be used as the float layer materials. The outer layers can be made from a sheet polyethylene or rubber-textile material with density over 100 kg/m3.
EFFECT: higher reliability of floating pipeline attachment, ease of its manufacture.
