FIELD: environmental protection, in particular, equipment for localizing of petroleum product spot and collecting from basin, including through-flow basin, such as river.
SUBSTANCE: floating barrier has sections sequentially connected with one another by means of pivotal members, and cables connected with outer sections. Sections are executed from used tire casings of equal diameter, which are arranged in side-by-side relationship to form horizontal row. Flexible binders are passed through tire casings. Flexible binder fastening members and pivotal connecting members are fixed on end closures, which are secured at section ends and equipped with sealing members. Tire casing cavity lower parts are filled with ballast members and remaining parts are packed with foamed polymer. Elastic hose is extending through the entire length of section inner space and is connected with hoses of adjacent sections through water and air supplying branch pipes. Longitudinal ridges of elastic material may be attached to upper part of sections.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation, increased service life, reduced production costs, simplified operation and reduced contamination of environment due to utilization of used difficult-to-process articles.
