FIELD: physics; optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the identification method through the iris. The method involves stages of obtaining an image of at least one eye of a person in the infrared range and processing of the obtained image so as to determine identification features of the iris limited by the external edges of the eye. The method involves the following stages: obtaining an eye image in the visible range almost simultaneously with obtaining its image in the infrared range, determination of the external borders of the iris based on the image, obtained in the infrared range. The invention also relates to a device for iris identification.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of identification through the iris.
