FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device relates to the technical equipment for control in the security service and also to the industrial-technological control for different purposes. The device contains the radiating block 1, connected in parallel to entrance condensers 2, connected with the output of the generator 3 of current and the first entrance of the quadrature autocompensator 5, the second entrance is connected to the entrance of generator 3 of current and the output of generator 4 controlled by viltage. The outputs of quadrature autocompensator 5 are connected respectively through the series-connected filters 10, 11 of higher frequencies and linear rectifiers 12, 13 with the entrances of the register 14, the output of which is connected to the entrance threshold element 15, the output of which is connected with the entrance of the actuating unit 16. One of the output of the quadrature autocompensator 5 is connected through connected in series amplifier 17 and filter 18 of low frequencies with the controller of the entrance of generator 4 controlled by voltage. The entrances of the first and second analogue-digital converters 19 and 20 are connected respectively to outputs of the first and second filters 9 of lower frequencies of quadrature autocompensator 5, and outputs of analogue-digital converters 19 and 20 are connected to the first and second inputs of the block of processing 21, third entrance of which is connected to the output of threshold element 15, while the output is connected with the entrance of the display unit 22.

EFFECT: invention allows to carry out classification of the detected metallic objects by their belonging to the ferrous or non-ferrous category.
